- Hello my friends, today I'm visiting the historical monastery of Hirsau.
- I will show you a little bit around. I already visited the place over the years quite a couple of times,
- but I really like it here, and I wanted to show you the place since I drove by anyway,
- and I hope you can enjoy the video.
- Okay, just to give you a brief overview.
- We are now walking basically towards the inner part of the monastery.
- It's one of the biggest ones we have around the Black Forest.
- And especially it's one of the very few ones where you can actually see still a lot of parts of the original monastery.
- I mean, it's a ruin basically, to be fair, but it's still a beautiful place.
- They used to have medieval events and concerts here,
- and as you can see, the location is beautiful.
- And as you can probably already see through the gate or the opening of the wall,
- they are setting up probably a stage for the next concert.
- But yeah, it's a fantastic location.
- And there we basically have the church.
- Yeah, it was right. They are setting up a stage,
- or the seating area for the visitors.
- And the place is surrounded by the Black Forest,
- and it's just a fantastic location.
- I'm not sure if the church will be open. I highly doubt it.
- But even if I won't talk that much, I just want to show you around a little bit,
- because I still think that the entire monastery has quite a unique setup.
- And yes, they are already preparing for an event. They are there for playground.
- Okay, the chemical toilets are not that great.
- But yeah, have a look at the church. Isn't that a beautiful one?
- I love it.
- Okay, let's walk around the church,
- so you can actually see everything.
- Here you have an overview of one part of Hirsau.
- To be fair, it's not the nicest part.
- But imagine you live on the opposite side of the mountain,
- and you can see actually the monastery when you wake up in the morning.
- But yeah, it's a fantastic building.
- Okay, here we have the church from the other side.
- I know the sun shining directly into my face and into the camera.
- I hope you can actually see something,
- because I have a hard time to see the monitor.
- But I still wanted to try to show you the site,
- because it's such a beautiful and unique building.
- Here we have the, I guess it's the defense wall.
- There we have another part of another building.
- It is unfortunately not in the best condition anymore.
- But the thickness of the wall is so fucking impressive.
- When you compare this with the horrible architecture
- we have to see and to deal with on a daily basis in our modern towns,
- it's a difference like day and night.
- There we have the church tower.
- I'm not entirely sure if this used to be a cemetery.
- It's clearly not anymore.
- But there we have an open door,
- so let's explore.

- Hallo meine Freunde, heute besuche ich das historische Kloster von Hirsau.
- Ich werde euch ein bisschen herumführen. Ich habe den Ort über die Jahre schon einige Male besucht,
- aber ich mag es hier wirklich, und ich wollte euch den Ort zeigen, da ich sowieso vorbeigefahren bin,
- und ich hoffe, euch gefällt das Video.
- Okay, nur um euch einen kurzen Überblick zu geben.
- Wir laufen jetzt im Grunde zum inneren Teil des Klosters.
- Es ist eines der größten, die wir rund um den Schwarzwald haben.
- Und besonders ist es eines der sehr wenigen, bei denen man noch tatsächlich viele Teile des ursprünglichen Klosters sehen kann.
- Ich meine, es ist im Grunde eine Ruine, um fair zu sein, aber es ist trotzdem ein schöner Ort.
- Früher gab es hier mittelalterliche Veranstaltungen und Konzerte,
- und wie ihr sehen könnt, ist die Lage wunderschön.
- Und wie ihr wahrscheinlich schon durch das Tor oder die Öffnung in der Mauer sehen könnt,
- bauen sie wahrscheinlich gerade eine Bühne für das nächste Konzert auf.
- Aber ja, es ist eine fantastische Lage.
- Und da haben wir im Grunde die Kirche.
- Ja, es stimmte. Sie bauen eine Bühne auf,
- oder den Sitzbereich für die Besucher.
- Und der Ort ist vom Schwarzwald umgeben,
- und es ist einfach eine fantastische Lage.
- Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob die Kirche geöffnet sein wird. Ich bezweifle es stark.
- Aber auch wenn ich nicht so viel reden werde, möchte ich euch einfach ein bisschen herumführen,
- weil ich immer noch denke, dass das gesamte Kloster einen ziemlich einzigartigen Aufbau hat.
- Und ja, sie bereiten sich schon auf eine Veranstaltung vor. Sie sind wegen des Spielplatzes da.
- Okay, die chemischen Toiletten sind nicht so toll.
- Aber ja, schaut euch die Kirche an. Ist das nicht eine schöne?
- Ich liebe sie.
- Okay, lasst uns um die Kirche herumlaufen,
- damit ihr tatsächlich alles sehen könnt.
- Hier habt ihr einen Überblick über einen Teil von Hirsau.
- Um fair zu sein, es ist nicht der schönste Teil.
- Aber stellt euch vor, ihr wohnt auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Berges,
- und ihr könnt tatsächlich das Kloster sehen, wenn ihr morgens aufwacht.
- Aber ja, es ist ein fantastisches Gebäude.
- Okay, hier haben wir die Kirche von der anderen Seite.
- Ich weiß, die Sonne scheint direkt in mein Gesicht und in die Kamera.
- Ich hoffe, ihr könnt tatsächlich etwas sehen,
- denn ich habe Mühe, den Monitor zu sehen.
- Aber ich wollte trotzdem versuchen, euch die Anlage zu zeigen,
- weil es so ein schönes und einzigartiges Gebäude ist.
- Hier haben wir die, ich schätze, es ist die Verteidigungsmauer.
- Da haben wir einen weiteren Teil eines anderen Gebäudes.
- Es ist leider nicht mehr im besten Zustand.
- Aber die Dicke der Mauer ist so verdammt beeindruckend.
- Wenn man das mit der schrecklichen Architektur vergleicht,
- die wir tagtäglich in unseren modernen Städten sehen und mit der wir uns herumschlagen müssen,
- ist es ein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht.
- Da haben wir den Kirchturm.
- Ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher, ob das früher ein Friedhof war.
- Es ist eindeutig keiner mehr.
- Aber da haben wir eine offene Tür,
- also lasst uns erkunden.
